Fundraisers
The Beaufort Women’s Center has two major fundraisers a year along with the Baby Bottle Boomerang which is ongoing throughout the year.

| This fun, entertaining and informative event is usually held in March. The event is underwritten ahead of time by individuals and businesses to allow for table hosts and their guests to attend for free. It provides an opportunity for table hosts, which are usually regular donors of the center, to invite guests that are not familiar with the ministry but feel they would like to learn about it and have the potential of becoming regular contributors. The banquet is a semi-formal, sit-down dinner which includes a short director’s report, guest speaker, musical entertainment and client testimonies. In 2009 the banquet was held at Dataw Island’s Carolina Ball Room and we raised approximately $28,000. |

Walk-For-Life
 The Walk-For-Life is usually held in October or November. This event is a great time for everyone to get involved; those both old and new to the ministry. It is, also, a great time for us to continue to grow our current relationships with many churches in the community as well as develop new ones. Church Liaisons work closely with the Walk-For-Life Coordinator by recruiting walkers who in-turn solicit sponsors. The WFL is a 2 mile walk that takes approximately one hour; It begins with registration at 8:30 am with the walk starting at 9:00 am. Walkers can walk at home if they are unable to attend the event. Wheelchairs are welcome. Last year the WFL was held at the Center and we raised approximately $18,000.
Baby Bottle Boomerang
 This event is on-going throughout the year although it is very popular during Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Sundays. Again, we partner with churches thorough out the community via their church liaisons. The baby bottle campaign runs for 3 weeks. Baby bottles are dispersed to the congregation during services or Sunday school whereby they put their loose coins in the baby bottles for the next three weeks and then return them to the church. Memorial Cards or Honorariums can be filled out if someone chooses to donate in memory or honor of a loved one. We raised approximately $7,000 dollars during our campaigns in 2008.
